As per the Student Handbook, a student cannot have a "no submission" status for any assignments, quizzes, tests, etc and receive a passing mark. The student can fail or receive a score of zero, and if the overall grade is over the passing minimum, the student can receive a pass. If, however, the student's overall grade is above the minimum but at least one item has a "no submission" status, the student must receive a mandatory fail for the course. PS for most programs, 60% is the lowest passing grade.
I am posting this reminder as our administrative team has notified instructors that this policy is firm, meaning we are unable to provide further accommodation if the work is not submitted.
Please ensure, as always, that you understand college policy and your instructor's policies re: late submissions. In lab class, all assignments are due on the final day of your course at 4pm. My extension policy is easy to take advantage of, so please do so: if you let me know in writing the day before your deadline, I will open a rolling extension which lasts, at minimum, until the following Monday.
If you have questions about submitting your work, read this post.
If you have questions about marks, read this post.
