After inserting the textbox, you are asked to type in some content. With your nonprinting characters turned on, you should see the paragraph symbol within the textbox. Place your insertion point in front of the paragraph symbol instead of behind; if you type after the symbol, the simulation doesn't understand the location and will not pass you through the step.
