I strongly advise all students to have an active library membership at their local public library.
If you live in Surrey, click here: https://caitlinbaird1.wixsite.com/thelab/post/important-resource-surrey-libraries
If you live in Vancouver, check out the Greater Vancouver Public Library: https://www.gvpl.ca/howdoi/digital/
Everybody else will be part of the sprawling Fraser Valley Regional Library district.
Sign up now for an FVRL digital card.
(See below for information about library reopenings and physical cards.)
Below is the information directly from a colleague of mine at FVRL:
"Digital Library Cards: If you are a resident of one of our member municipalities and don’t already have a Fraser Valley Regional Library card, sign up online for an eCard and get 24/7 access to our digital collections at www.fvrl.ca. Find eBooks, audiobooks, streaming movies and TV, magazines, eLearning and other resources for all ages through popular eContent providers like Ebsco, OverDrive, RBdigital, Acorn TV, Kanopy, Mango Languages and Lynda.com. Digital library cards also enable you to request holds on physical items (books, dvds cds etc) and pick them up with our contactless holds pick-up FVRL Express. FVRL is opening to the public on August 4, 2020, so you can come in and get a library card after that date. For in-library sign up: bring government issue ID, including proof of address; if you don’t have gov’t ID then something like a bill, rent agreement etc. that has address. If getting a card for a child, then you need ID for child (ie. care card) and ID for parent showing same address.
Safety Info for opening is at https://1.shortstack.com/K7ZmrJ"
