LockDown Browser extension for Chromebooks

Chromebooks are cloud-based devices, meaning they have limited internal memory. Instead of downloading different desktop applications, Chromebooks use browser-based apps and browser extensions. An extension adds functionalities to your browser (in this case, Google Chrome).

Chromebook users can access the LockDown Browser's capabilities by installing the LockDown extension.

Here is how to download and install the extension:

"Installing the Chromebook Extension

To install the new extension to a student-owned Chromebook, students will need to use the regular LockDown Browser installation link for your school* (they will NOT be able to search for the app directly from the Chrome web store.)  The LockDown Browser installation link will direct students to the Chrome web store, at which point they should select “Add to Chrome” to install the LockDown Browser Extension."

*The link is on your ECampus course page under Course Home > LockDown Browser Practice Quiz.
