important re: BC-PRD, BC-ORIENT, BC-ITC, BC-EA-ITC

Updated: Jun 15, 2020

If your course this week is BC-PRD (Academic Success Strategies) please note this is the same course as SSS (Student Success Strategies). Therefore, please access all the SSS resources on this site.

Some programs, such as EA, have their SSS block split into three sections over the week. On ECampus, these sections are labeled BC-PRD, BC-ORIENT, and either BC-ITC or BC-EA-ITC. This is purely an administrative choice. You are only taking one course this week, and it lasts Monday to Friday.

I will automatically pass you through the Orientation and Intro to Tech blocks. These are used as placeholders to show on your transcript that you created your computer accounts and attended orientation. You can ignore them entirely.

There is a different lab course called ITC (Introduction to Computers). This is a two-week course which covers the basics of Microsoft Office 365, internet usage and security, and Windows 10. I will be speaking about this course throughout the week. You are not taking ITC. Do not do the ITC assignments or study for the tests.

In BC-PRD/SSS, there are no exams. You only have two assignments: the completion of the Enriched Academy videos and the citation/research paper which we will discuss tomorrow. It is a pass/fail course.

Again:

BC-PRD = SSS

BC-ORIENT, BC-ITC, BC-EA-ITC are not "real" courses so please ignore them

BC-PRD lasts today until Friday

BC-ITC, BC-EA-ITC do not equal the course ITC
