IMPORTANT MUST READ re: network security updates

Our network has had some security issues this past week, so things are being reset this afternoon. This will affect your student accounts. Please read the following carefully:

Your login credential will be reset.

You will be kicked out and asked to reset your password. This applies to Office including MS Teams; Email; MyCampus; and your computer login (on campus). Once you lose access, you will need to reset the password and log back in.

If you need to create or otherwise update your accounts, please refer to the following three documents from the tab The Lab:

Increased security re: open wifi connections

From now on, if you are connecting to the internet from public places (such as coffee shop) or from an unusual place, then it will not allow you to access to any of the company websites. For example, if you have been connecting to the internet from your home and you are still connecting from home, then it will still grant you the access. However, if you travelled to one of your families’ place and try to connect, then it will not allow you access.

If you have to travel and work from an unusual place, then you should call the helpline (5am-8pm M-F: 1-800-247-5918). However, in order to do so, they will need to verify your phone number. This means you have to update your phone number with Student Services if the one given is no longer accurate.

If you need to use the computers on campus, this is possible by appointment. Please reach out to Front Desk (Gislene: gislene.wetmore@career.college 1-604-580-2133).
