camera policy for online class

Here's a policy reminder from our new Campus Director, Anthony:

Online learning/class must be equally treated as on-site class. All students are required to TURN ON their cameras and make themselves visible during the whole class hours unless there is a technical issue. If they don’t have a webcam, then they need to buy one.

All students must be professionally presented and behaved. This means no lying on bed, no smoking (including electronic cigarette), no alcohol, no other person around, and etc. The learning cannot be disrupted. Of course, there are certain situations that they cannot control, such as someone is knocking on door, someone got hurt in the house, and etc. Please use your own discretion to judge which behaviour can be excused. I hope you make a right judgement.

If a student turned off the camera during the class and do not return or return late, this counts as absence. If a student needs to be away from the camera for a while (more than one hours) due to an urgent matter, it must be notified to the instructor and the student must present the valid document or a written reason to the instructor at a later time. Otherwise, this will also count as absence.
