"1. Although students will not be informed until mid to late February if their application was approved, ALL transcripts must be submitted by January 10th!!
2. ECEBC has a budgeted amount of $$$ to give out, so not everyone will be approved. They are prioritizing applicants as follows:
A) Metis
B) Post Advanced courses (IT/SN)
C) Students who have finished program completely (graduated) before Dec 24th.
After they have set funds aside for these applicants (providing they submitted application properly without missing info etc), they will disburse remaining money to other applicants – first come first serve… as per date and time, full application was received.
To put this in perspective, the last bursary had 1200 applications, and 230 applications were approved before $$ were gone.
3. If a student’s application is approved, they may receive up to $ 4000. $ 500 per course (max 8) completed in the fall bursary period (Sept 1 to Dec 31).
4. They do not count Food Safe or First Aid courses.
5. There will be a Winter Bursary (Jan to Apr 30) and application date will be in March."
