answers to progress email questions :)

  1. You don't need to include comments on your Pearson Grades Tracker document unless there's anything you want me to know when marking, such as us going over it in office hour or a technical difficulty discussed during the course.

  2. Office Skills final exam: The document labeled "study guide" contains all possible questions you may encounter on the exam, organized by textbook chapter. This is the primary guide to the exam. The "practice exams," both midterm and final, are previous versions of study guides before the exam was combined. Using these as practice tests will you give you a good indication of how you'll do on the real exam. You can check the practice test answers in videos on the Lectures tab. Of course, this is optional, but a suggested study technique. We will discuss the study guide in class Wednesday; it is not for marks.

  3. Office Skills presentation: The ideal time frame is 5-10 minutes, 15 minutes maximum. I suggest timing yourself as you talk through your slides to get an idea of length. As for slides, the more the merrier! Less information per slide allows for greater focus and clarity, makes it easier to read the content, and provides greater visual interest for the audience. Be sure to watch the video about the assignment so you feel empowered to fulfil the criteria.
